TELL YOUR STORY – SOS Invites Josephine County Residents to the “Victim’s Forum” on May 14th

Securing Our Safety (SOS) is sponsoring a Victim’s Forum on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 6:30 PM in the Grants Pass City Council Chambers.  Victims all throughout Josephine County will be invited to attend and share their stories and frustrations with the Criminal Justice System.  Members of the Criminal Justice System will be on hand to listen and direct victims to resources.  This is not a political event but rather a moment to share, heal, know you are not alone and shall be a step towards hope!  GPDPS Chief Joe Henner, Deputy Chief Bill Landis, Josephine County Community Parole and Probation Director Abe Huntley, and other local experts have agreed to participate!

See the following link for the event flyer:  SOS Flyer Victim’s Forum

If you or someone you know has been affected by crime, please consider sharing a story in person at the Victim’s Forum.  If your business has been affected or you want to tell a story about someone you know that has been affected all stories will be heard.  Securing Our Safety is trying to raise awareness of safety concerns in our community due to the lack of funding for the local Criminal Justice System.  A better understanding of the effects of the crime will continue to help motivate the research and education efforts of SOS.  For further questions please email SOS at
