Secure Rural Schools Act (Act now expired)
Received last year: $5.7 million, with some mandated to Title II and Title III projects and not available to county
County General Fund received $4.8 million and all went to Public Safety.
No SRS for this next year
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) shared 50% each BLM and County
This goes into General Fund
Estimated amount this year is: $2.3 million minus 7.3% sequester = $2.1 million
Forest Service receipts shared 25% to County
Received last year: $1.5 million
Estimated amount this year is: $140,000
These funds go to Public Works and county schools
Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT)
Received last year: $670,000.
Estimated amount this year is: $693,000
These go into the General fund
Last year these funds were used for Public Safety
Total received last year: $6,970,000
Total estimate 2014-15 revenue for County is: $2,933,000
