Great contacts, still no money. Met with Annabelle Jaramillo, County Commissioner from Benton County, John Lindsey, Linn County, and Pete Sorenson, Lane County. All 3 appreciated the one on one dialogue, but feel we need to go for 2016 for better success. John Lindsey wants to join the effort, as he has a large contact base and has run initiatives in the past. I also set appointments with two Realtor boards for upcoming meetings.  I also spoke with the team in Salem who are still holding out hope for this year and are still reaching out to people for financial support.

Had great meetings today in Douglas County. Douglas County Association of Realtors seemed very interested and I meet with their entire board next month. I had a long and productive meeting with 9 term Commissioner Doug Robertson Who is also the O&C President. He is very supportive and also had an interest in our upcoming Mineral Summit. I feel we have a real ally in Douglas County now.

Odometer over 1,000 miles in this journey. Feels like I should be in Mexico by now. Tomorrow is more of the Central Oregon valley.

Best regards
Cliff

Great first day on the trail spreading the word about SOS and the lottery committee. I met with the Association of Oregon Counties, League of Oregon Cities, Confederated Tribes of Oregon, Marion County Commissioners,  and the Chief Petitioners of The Oregon Lottery Local Control Act.  Busy day but great energy from all. The Petitioners especially were enthusiastic. They believe, like we do, that we can do this this year!

Tomorrow Cheri is setting me up with the media to spread the word. In the afternoon I am meeting with the Oregon Association of Realtors. I believe that with the coalition we created in the South will pave the way to contributions from the North.

Petitions are now available for download at www.lotterylocalcontrol.com

I’ll stay in touch!

Respectfully,
Cliff Thomason
