KTVL CBS Channel 10 interviews SOS members

“The goal of this group is to look for answers, whether that be finding new sources of funding, looking for new options, talking to people in the community, trying to rebuild trust in our leadership,” member David Smith said. “That has already generated some great ideas, some of which are being put into place now.”

“If we all join together, we can all make a difference together,” member Christine Schmidt said.

Securing Our Safety (SOS) – leaving no stone unturned

Securing Our Safety members are leaving no stone unturned and are working in the following areas:

  1. Natural Resources: Timber & Other
  2. Sales Taxes and Other New Tax/Fee Revenues
  3. Property Tax Adjustments
  4. Trust, Transparency, and Education
  5. Public/Private Partnerships
  6. Public Ownership and Involvement
  7. Improve System Efficiency
  8. Use of State Lottery Funds
  9. Justice of the Peace Court
  10. Biomass Research
