Thank you to our sponsors and participants! The following online link shows the race results for the 2018 Run For The Law on March 3rd.
All net proceeds from the Run For The Law this year will support the SOS project “Law Enforcement: Where We Stand!”
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO OUR 2018 RUN FOR THE LAW SPONSORS!
Law Enforcement: Where We Stand will assess our local criminal justice programs in Josephine County whether operated by the State, County, or City. Have you ever wondered how much of our local crime challenges result from illegal drug use? Have you wondered how our crime rates compare to our neighbors or how the operational health of the County jail impacts crime? We will answer these questions and much more with this project.
About SOS: SOS is a volunteer nonprofit organization that was formed in 2012 when Josephine County lost the majority of timber and federal revenues that formerly supported its public safety and criminal justice programs. The mission of SOS is “A Citizen-voiced plan to provide for a secure, stable and sustainable Josephine County.” To further this mission, SOS has recently signed a contract with an independent research firm NPC Research (http://npcresearch.com/) to perform a thorough diagnosis of conditions faced by our Criminal Justice and Public Safety programs in Josephine County. With additional donations, this project project, called “Law Enforcement: Where We Stand” will be completed in 2018. For more information about SOS or to volunteer with SOS please send an email to SecuringOurSafety@gmail.com.
